Task 17: final poster with glogster

This poster I have created with Glogster is what students from 3ESO should do for their final task according to the CLIL unit I have designed. It is about the several ways to reduce the carbon footprint and combat the climate change. They will also have to explain it orally.

Task 16: ESL video

This video is designed for 3ESO students, as it is my CLIL unit. It is about green house effect and students have to understand the video in order to answer the questions. They are questions about the content of the video. If students want to send their scores to me, my teacher code is LeyreLopez.

Task 15: Webquest

This webquest about the climate change and the global warming is designed for 3ESO. It may be a little bit challenging because the links provided are real links from real sources, so the language is not adapted. However, it is designed to be part of the last sessions of the unit, so students will be familiarised with the contents and language. The webquest is composed of two activities, although the second one contains two task in order to gain experience and knowledge to prepare a presentation, which is the aim of Activity 2. Task 14: my CLIL unit in ISSUU

This is the CLIL unit I have created for 3ESO. Here I show three of the activities of the unit. The introduction session, a development session in the laboratory about CO2 gasses and the evaluation session which consists of a game. It is about climate change and global warming.

Task 13: Plantilla de CLIL

This CLIL unit template is designed to 3ESO students. It deals with climate change and the title of the unit is Your planet needs you. The template was first designed by Isabel Pérez Torres (2009).

Task 12: Webpage

This is the webpage I have created in order to publish the contents and materials for my lessons. It will be a learning tool for my students and they could download and follow the course through the webpage. I will be posting sessions for every level in the homepage. In the other pages, students could check interesting images, videos and links I consider important for the learning process. Task 11: Hotpotatoes

The next six activities, designed with Hotpotatoes, are thought to work on the song Paradise, Coldplay. Through these five activities, students from 3ºESO get familiarised with vocabulary and grammar tenses. Some of the activites are focused on vocabulary (part of the body and natural elements), others are focused on grammar tenses (how past simple is formed) and others are just focused on the meaning of the song and coherence of the lyrics.
